Le Havre starlet Benjamin Mendy admits that he is flattered by reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain while at the same time admitting that his dream is to play for Barcelona.

Ligue 1 leaders PSG are said to be closely monitoring the development of the 17-year-old defender, who was linked with Arsenal before signing professional terms with Le Havre last year.

However, Mendy insists that he has not heard anything about a potential summer switch to the Parc des Princes.

"Frankly, I'm not aware of it at all," he told Goal.com. "You say that I was scouted? I do not know ...

"Anyway I'm glad to hear it. PSG is a great club, who have been given an extra dimension with the arrival of Qatari owners.

"But to answer your question, no, there has been nothing concrete with PSG."

As for the speculation that Arsene Wenger was keen to bring him to north London, Mendy admits that he is a fan of both the club and English football in general. But his career goal is to end up in Catalunya.

"Arsenal and Manchester City are my two favourite teams; I love seeing these two teams play," he enthused. "But my dream club, it's Barca."

Mendy has represented France at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level.
